Dear all,
I hope you are all well,
We are thrilled to hear that the government has finally approved our sports return to play document.
This means we are able to commence stunting, as long as we are mitigating risk. The guidance states 15 mins of stunting only and then clear breaks in between and all athletes 5+ to wear masks whilst stunting.
Our team will therefore be ensuring all athletes wear masks during any stunting/spotting activities going forward. PLEASE ensure athletes bring a mask to practice from now on.
In addition to this, athletes will be asked to sanitise/wash their hands, before and after every spotting/stunting short session.
We are using SportCheer England and Sport England guidance notes to help update our risk assessments and return to cheerleading safely.
Please note that stunting/lifting is not mandatory and it is entirely your choice whether to participate. For those not participating, we will set weighted back pack work, so you are fully included within a training atmosphere.
As a team and to ensure we will need a WAIVER FORM completed for every athlete and coach, before commencing stunting/lifting. The waiver form is available to complete now (link found further down in this email).
As with all activities there are still risks with COVID 19 – and whilst we are doing all that we can as a team to mitigate those risks, it is IMPORTANT that you ensure you have read and understood the following, BEFORE signing the waiver form.

Thank you for your ongoing support, as a team we are confident we are doing all we can to control the risks. For our athletes we are relieved that cheerleading is now able to move forward sensibly.
We will continue to review the situation based on our current risk level, if this is increased locally, we will communicate with you the changes this brings to us as a team.
Thank you again all and have a wonderful weekend.
